BOTOX

Botox is a drug made from a toxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. Doctors use it in small doses to treat health problems, including:

Temporary removal of facial wrinkles.
Severe underarm sweating.
Cervical dystonia: a neurological disorder that causes severe muscle contractions in the neck and shoulders.
Blepharospasm: uncontrollable blinking.
Strabismus: misaligned eyes.

Botox
The FDA approved Botox ™ for over 10 years to treat certain eye muscle problems. Doctors warned that the appearance of some wrinkles around the eyes also improved. The company that makes Botox ™ tests performed and demonstrated to the FDA that the product was effective and safe for treating certain types of wrinkles.

Wrinkles are caused when a muscle tightens. Botox ™ is injected into the muscle through the skin and keeps it tense. When the muscle relaxes, the wrinkles are less visible. Only the treated muscle is paralyzed.

Cosmetic Applications

A diluted form of botulinum toxin type A, is considered today to be one of the better treatments available to remove wrinkles or laritidosis treatment. This form of botulinum toxin, after infiltration with an extra fine needle into the muscle under the skin of the area to be treated, for relaxation inhibits muscle movement. To this effect it is intended that wrinkles disappear and thus provide a more youthful skin. Temporary lasts between 3 to 6 months after which period the dose should be renewed. Rarely have cases of side effects such as allergic reactions, facial stiffness and nausea.

Does it hurt, require anesthesia?

It is not painful. Inject a minimum amount of fluid under the skin, muscle chosen. You may feel some discomfort in each puncture.

Are very long sessions?

Just a few minutes. If the professional (always a cosmetic doctor or surgeon) is clear about the points you have to infiltrate, sessions are blazing fast. In 20 minutes you can try for example a few eyebrows and crow’s feet without any problems.

Does it last longer depending on the brand?

No, the effects are just as durable. Injection technique varies depending on the brand chosen because each has a protocol. Laboratories should study the technique of infiltration and punch model that best fits your product and then have to communicate it to the specialists.
